Our first trip to the graveyard this year was by the Monday class, grade 6-7. Our first order of business was to assess any damage over the summer to the yard.

To our surprise, the two newest stones were knocked over. They are obelisks and mark the graves of the Warrens, 1915. On closer inspection, we figured out who the vandals were. Cows had been in the graveyard. We saw hoof prints and meadow muffins.

We reset the stones in an upright position. It took three people to lift the top.

We then found the problem. Our "electric fence", which is really just a rope, had broken and it didn't take the cows long to find they could get in again. We think it is time to install a wire fence.
