Last year's eighth grade class began this project. They were only able to make one trip to see the scope of the project and to begin mapping the graveyard. This year's eighth grade class has made its first trip on November 18 and has recorded seven of the graves so far. Four of these first seven are fieldstones with no engraving. Two of the first three stones are badly deteriorated and hard to read. Rubbings were made to aid in reading the markers. Two of the stones were knocked from their bases. They had to be reset. We did a lot of work but there was some time to relax.
