Damage to the graveyard has come from a variety of sources. Time has caused much damage, naturally. The graveyard is surrounded by pasture. Cattle have rubbed and knocked over stones. The graveyard, unlike others in Pulaski County, is on the bank of the Big Piney River, although it is a high bank. When there is an unusually high flood, logs and other debris flow through the graveyard, causing much damage. The moisture from the brush, trees, and leaf litter causes further deterioration of the markers.
