This is an early German card, as is Lenox(1), with glittered lettering and flower centers. It is is dated October 24, 1908. The message read "Dear Cousin. Will ans. your letter soon. Fear we can't come y;et awhile but will come as soon as can possible do so. Yours with Love M. R. C.." In 1908, a trip from Lenox to Waynesville would have been an overnight one. No one had one of Ford's new Model T's yet.
