King's House, Home of Governor, Kingston, Jamaica. Sent to Amanda by J. M. Petty and mailed from Republic, MO on April 7, 1910. The captionn for the postcard reads "This magnificent mansion is hte home of the governor of hte Island of Jamaica. It shows the beautiful foliage and tropical conditions of that wonderful country, so near the United States. This house was partly destroyed during the last earthquake in Jamaica." There is no known connection with this scene and the parties, except that Amanda collected a varity of cards.
