This card was made with a Kodak postcard camera, probably the "Folding Pocket Camera." Eastman Kodak entered the burgeoning real photo market with such an affordable camera in 1906. This postcard was sent to Amanda by Mabel, possibly Mabel Christeson, in 1910. She credits her uncle with taking the picture. In her message on the back, Mabel expresses interest in the outcome of a recent election and if Mr. Scott won. She also says she is in school. The postmark is from Monett. Mabel may be going to the state normal school in Springfield.
