Freedom Fest

Sponsored by the Route 66 Fest Committee, this festival is held in June on the square in Waynesville. The Old Stagecoach Stop volunteers assist children making a craft with a patriotic theme.

Old Settlers Days

The premier festival is Old Settlers Day held in Roubidoux Park on the last full weekend in July. The festival features the Kickapoo Trace Muzzleloaders and a company of Civil War reenactors, along with food and craft vendors. It is sponsored by the Pulaski County Museam and Historical Society. At the Old Stagecoach Stop on the square in Waynesville, presentations about Civil War medicine are offered all day. The Old Stagecoach Stop Foundation publishes its annual heritage newspaper, The Old Settlers Gazette, during this week.

Oktoberfest/Appreciation Day

Appreciation Day is held in conjunction with Oktoberfest, a Saturday in October. It expresses the Foundation's "Thank You" to the community for its support of the Foundation's mission and efforts. Music, crafts, and refreshments are the order of the day.

Christmas on the Square

This has become another community tradition. Held the first Thursday evening in December, the event definitely kicks off the holiday season. Craft vendors as scattered about the square. The Old Stagecoach Stop reflects the season with Victorian decorations. Free refreshments are offered in the 1915 kitchen. The front log cabins are lit by oil lamps, the ambiance not to be forgotten and a good place to warm up.
